CRAFTSMANSHIP FOR LIFE. CRAFTSMANSHIP FOR YOU.
Design. Fabrication. Installation.
Christiana Cabinetry is an American family-owned and operated cabinetmaker with a proud history of quality workmanship and outstanding customer service. Simply put, we guarantee higher quality cabinetry at more accessible prices.
All of our cabinets are built right here in Atglen, PA, using American made components and hardware.
While most people focus on the outside of our cabinets, we’ve spent the last 40 years focusing on the inside. Our family’s lifelong obsession with cabinetry and design allows us to see opportunities to apply our own brand of boundary-pushing ingenuity.
It starts with a better box.
We overbuild our cabinetry. Since countertops are getting heavier, after time this weight will cause cabinetry to shift and settle. Since our cabinetry is built of ¾” plywood with ½” backs and a full cabinet top, the cabinets remain square and true allowing the doors and drawers to operate properly for many years.
Our cabinetry is different because it exceeds the specified details:
NORTH AMERICAN PLYWOOD:
Our cabinetry is constructed of plywood. It is made in North America and has no added formaldehyde
SQUARE AND TRUE BY DESIGN:
We overbuild our cabinetry. Since countertops are getting heavier, after time this weight will cause cabinetry to shift and settle. Since our cabinetry is built of 3/4” plywood with 1/2” backs and a full cabinet top, the cabinets remain square and true allowing the doors and drawers to operate properly for many years.
Our framed cabinetry is different: the fronts are 1/8” thicker than the door. This allows additional space for hinging and ensures the doors will not bind.
Framed inset cabinetry is oversized by 1/8” so if the door is 3/4” thick, the face frame is 7/8” for adjustability. (Everyone else constructs 3/4″ & 3/4″ for doors and frames).
THE BEST HARDWARE:
Framed inset projects have earth magnet, non-contact door closures. Frameless cabinetry receives the soft-close, fully adjustable hinging. Our standard hinges are soft close for doors and drawer boxes.
DRAWER BOX DIFFERENCE:
Our drawer boxes are constructed from 3/4” thick solid maple and are dovetailed with a 3/8” thick bottom and mounted on heavy-duty, soft close under-mounted Blum slides.
FINISHED FOR LIFE:
We use the best finish in the business. Most cabinetry is finished with a catalyzed varnish, which has a distinctive, oppressive odor. We use a two-component polyurethane that has no added formaldehyde. This is a superior finish to the catalyzed varnish. It has superior resistance to abrasion, scratches and moisture.
CUSTOM HAND BRUSHED FINISH WITH WARRANTED TOP COAT
The craftsmanship of our hand brushed painted finish is protected by an acrylic topcoat for additional protection. This is unlike other products in the market.
We guarantee delivery and completion dates.
We provide a lifetime warranty* on our cabinetry.
We carefully review each project. In the business of making cabinetry for 40 years, we understand the vision an architect or designer works to deliver. We comprehensively review each project to ensure we have captured all details to create a proposal incorporating all specifics. This eliminates change orders later in the project.
We provide comprehensive shop drawings with specifications for mechanicals and construction.
We will interact with project owners or their design and construction teams to provide project oversight during the installation process. This ensures all details are addressed and included in the final plan.
We make our structural components from melamine-faced furniture panels.
All panels, including cabinet backs, are water repellent and conform to the most stringent international regulations for environmental and health standards. Cabinet interiors come in three North American-made melamine finishes, and optional North American-made plywood. Even our hanging system is unique, ensuring that every component is level, plumb, and effortlessly adjustable. Corner cabinets include an additional bracket to prevent sagging.
